FROM THE EARLY 30’S AND 40’S...
In the early centuries, while tap dance was still on, Swing had followed up and became North Americas new „hot dance“. One of the best known dance styles of Swing is Charleston, named after the city where it first emerged. Other centuries would follow and Swing was still one of the main elements of dance in the 60’s. Swing turned into Rock’n’Roll and later into a massive disco movement based in the hot night clubs of New York and other U.S. cities.
...TO THE 80’S AND THE NEW MILLENIUM
Michael Jackson’s and Madonna’s incredible new sounds of the 80’s developed a unique style of dance, especially for young people. Today, in the New Millenium, the youth is influenced by open minded artists such as Lady Gaga, who is known for her self-‐empowering messages, fashion and live performances. „Don’t Stop the Music“ gives the audience a hit after hit experience, each number presenting the essence of it’s artists’ genious at their time.
